NEET 2018: Special Instructions issued by CBSE NEET Director for exam day on radio, check here

CBSE arranged for a Radio program to reach out to students who are appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2018 examination this Sunday. CBSE NEET Director, Dr. Sayyam Bhardwaj was on air to answer queries of the stduents. The special radio program was broadcasted on FM Rainbow on May 4, i.e. today. The program was on air from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Important points as shared by the director are provided here for the students. 
Over 13 lakh candidates have registered this year for the examination. Ahead of the exam, there are a wide range of questions which students need answers for. Many students sent in their queries. A summary of the same are provided here. 


1. There is no change in the exam pattern. The examination would be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm - there is negative marking for all incorrect answers. A total of 180 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology would be asked.
2. All the important instructions have been mailed to the students. Students have been advised to go through their mails for the same.
3. Entry to the examination halls would be done in two slots. First entry would be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. The second slot would be from 8:30 to 9:30 am. No students would be allowed to enter the exam hall after 9:30 am under any circumstances. 
4. Students are required to carry only their admit cards and 2 passport sized photographs. Pens to mark the OMR sheets would be provided at the examination center.
5. Photograph should be the same as was uploaded on the website at the time of filling the online application for CBSE NEET.
6. Students are not allowed to wear shoes, heels. Simple hairdo is also advised. Female candidates were advised to not tie their hair in a bun.
7. Invigilators have been carefully trained and well aware of the instructions. Students can reach out to them in case of any confusion regarding marking of the answer keys, etc.. 
CBSE would be conducting NEET 2018 examination in 11 languages including English, Hindi and Urdu this year. The question papers for all the languages would be same. The students would be given the question papers in the medium opted for as well as in English. Students who have opted for English would, however, get the paper only in English Language. 

NEET is the only entrance examination for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in government, aided and private medical/ dental colleges. Only AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS are the two separate entrance tests for students who aspire to take that course. NEET would be conducted on May 6, 2018.
